From family workshop to international group.
Founded in 1999 in Paços de Ferreira, Fábrica do Sofá B.A. is today an industrial group with 5,000 m² of production, two sub-brands (EBBA Sofa and Madeira Negra) and clients across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
2002
First retail store
Opening of the first official Fábrica do Sofá showroom, establishing a direct channel between production and the end customer.
2010
Madeira Negra store
Launch of the Madeira Negra store, marking a strategic expansion into the furniture and interior decoration sector.
2015
Factory expansion
Significant expansion of our manufacturing facilities to accommodate increased demand and integrate new production technologies.
2024
New facilities
Transition to the current industrial park in Freamunde, equipped with modern machinery across 5,000 m² dedicated to manufacturing.
2025
Elbra Group
Expansion of the corporate portfolio with the launch of the Elbra brand, positioning the group in the international luxury segment.
